MBA / B.A.-LL.B (Hons) / B.Tech / M.Tech / Ph.D Admission 2013
Application in the prescribed form are invited for admission to the courses of study in the North Eastern Hill University for MBA/B.A.-LL.B (Hons)/B.Tech/M.Tech/Ph.D (Engg) programme commencing from August, 2013
MBA (Master of Business Administration): A bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate (45% marks in case of SC/ST)
Those appearing in the final examination and expecting their result by 15th July, 2013 may also apply
Eligible candidates need to appear any of the MAT tests (May/September/December-2012 and February-2013)
Candidates who are willing to take admission in the MBA programme are required to fill up the NEHU application form enclosing their respective MAT score
Ph.D (Engg): As per rules of the university
M.Tech (Information Technology/Electronics Communication Engineering/Nanotechnology)
M.Tech (Information Technology): A candidates who have passed B.E./B.Tech in IT/CSE/ECE/EE or MCA or M.Sc in Computer Science/Electronics having secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (relaxable by 5% for SC/ST candidates)
M.Tech (Electronic Communication Engineering) (ECE): A candidate who have passed B.E./B.Tech in ECE/EE or M.Sc in Electronics having secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (relaxable by 5% for SC/ST candidates)
M.Tech (Nanotechnology): A candidate who have passed B.E./B.Tech or equivalent degree in Biomedical, Biotechnology, Chemical, Electronics and Communication, Energy, Electrical, Mechanical, Metallurgical Engineering having 60% or 6.5 credit in 10 point scale and M.Sc in Physics/ Chemistry/ Material Science, Biotechnology with 60% credit in 10 points scale
B.Tech (Information Technology/Electronics Communication Engineering/Energy Engineering/Biomedical Engineering and lateral entry to 3rd semester)
Eligibility: The minimum eligibility criteria for admission into B.Tech programme shall be such as prescribed by AICTE from time to time
A candidate’s must have valid positive JEE (Main) score
B.A.-LL.B (Hons): Candidates who have passed/have appeared/ are appearing the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent (such as 11+1)
A level in senior school leaving certificate course from a recognized university of India or outside or from a senior secondary board or equivalent examination in any stream securing an aggregate of not less than 50% of the marks, relaxable by 5% for SC/ST shall be eligible to seek admission to the programme
The maximum age for seeking admission into the course is limited to 20 (twenty) years in case of general category of applicant and to 22 (twenty two) years in case of applicant from SC/ST/OBC as on 01st August, 2013
No student shall be allowed to simultaneously register for the course with any other graduate/post graduate/ certificate courses run by the university or any other university/institute for academic or professional learning provided that any short period part time certificate course on language, computer science or computer application of an institute or any course run by a centre for distance learning or a university however, shall be accepted
