B.Sc (Home Science) Admission-2013

RAU Competitive Entrance Examination for Admission to B.Sc (Home Science)-2013

College of Home Science was estd in 1982 as an important component of Rajendra Agricultural
University, Pusa (Samastipur) Bihar to provide scientific and technical education in Home Science to Female students

Seats: Approved intake capacity is 25 (seats) in B.Sc (Home Science) programme out of which 85% seats (total 21 seats) shall be filled up through the RAU Competitive Entrance Examination conducted for admission to B.Sc (Home Science) for Domicile of Bihar

Rest 15% seats (total 04 seats) shall be filled up through ICAR entrance test

Duration: Minimum duration of the degree programme for B.Sc (Home Science) is of 8 semesters

Four additional semesters are permissible for the programme in addition to normal duration provided for completing the degree programme and if a student fails to complete the programme even in these additional four semesters, she shall cease to be the student of this university and shall not be permitted to continue her studies further in this university

Eligibility Criteria: Only female candidates are eligible

The candidate must be a permanent resident/domicile of the State of Bihar

The candidate must have completed a minimum of 17 years of age on 01st July, 2013

Minimum qualification required for admission to B.Sc (Home Science) shall be Intermediate in Science (10+2 or equivalent examination) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) from a recognized Board/University

The candidate who is appearing in the Intermediate/+2 or equivalent examination is also eligible to apply for admission and appear in the competitive entrance examination

However she must complete the degree requirement on or before 30th June, 2013

The cutoff date for passing intermediate examination shall be 30th June, 2013

Entrance Exam: Examination will be held on 07th July, 2013 from 10.30 a.m. to 01.00 p.m. at Pusa campus of RAU, Bihar, Pusa (Samastipur)

Syllabus of entrance examination for admission to B.Sc (Home Science) will be of Intermediate Science (PCB/PCM)

Admit Card: Admit card will be dispatched latest by 26th June, 2013

Duplicate admit card will be issued one day before the examination from the Office of the Dean, Home Science, RAU, Pusa

Two duly attested photograph by the Head of the School/College last attended and proof of application submission have to be provided by the candidate for getting a duplicate admit card

Selection Procedure: Selection will be made purely on merit basis

The merit list will be prepared with 50% weightage to marks obtained in competitive examination and 50% weightage to marks obtained in qualifying intermediate or equivalent examination

Application Form: Sale of application form on cash payment of Rs 550/- for General/EBC/BC and others and Rs 250/- for SC/ST category from the sale counter of the Dean, Home Science and Co-ordinator (Examination), RAU, Pusa from 05th May, 2013 to 30th May, 2013

By post from the office of Dean, Home Science, Rajendra Agricultural University, Pusa, Dist Samastipur-848125 by sending a written request with demand draft of Punjab National Bank of Rs 550/- for General/EBC/BC and others and Rs 250/- for SC/ST category from 05th May, 2013 to 30th May, 2013

Demand draft must be drawn in favour of Comptroller, Rajendra Agricultural University, Pusa payable at Punjab National Bank, RAU, Pusa Branch

A self addressed 30 cm x 25 cm envelope pasted with postage stamp of Rs 50/- only needs to be enclosed with the request for sending the application form

Application can also be downloaded from the university website www.pusavarsity.org.in

While submitting the downloaded duly filled application form bank draft as prescribed above and two self addressed envelope bearing postal stamp of Rs 25/- should be attached

Last date for receipt of application form in the office of the Dean, Home Science through registered/speed post only 10th June, 2013, upto 05.00 p.m.
