Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management-Kerala (IIITM-K) is an autonomous postgraduate academic institution, estd by the Govt of Kerala
The institute offers six postgraduate degree programmes and one post graduate diploma programme in e-Governance
Meritorious students seeking admission to the Master’s programmes are eligible for SPEED-IT Scholarship of the Dept of Information Technology, Govt of Kerala
IIITM-K invites applications for admission to the following Post Graduate degree programmes affiliated to Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT)
M.Sc Information Technology (2 years)
Eligibility: B.Tech/B.E. in any branch of Engineering/Technology or MCA or B.Sc with Mathematics as a subject of study
Candidates with B.Sc degree are also eligible to apply
However, the admission to the course would be subject to the concurrence by CUSAT
M.Sc Computer Science and Information Security (2 years)
Eligibility: B.Tech/B.E. in any branch of Engineering/Technology or B.Sc
M.Sc Geo-informatics (2 years)
Eligibility: B.Tech/B.E. in any branch of Engineering or Technology/B.Sc with Mathematics/ Geology/ Geography as subjects of study
M.Sc Computational Sciences (2 years)
Eligibility: B.Tech/B.E. in any branch of Engineering or Technology/B.Sc with Mathematics as a subject of study
M.Phil Ecological Informatics (1 year)
Eligibility: M.Sc in Natural Sciences (Botany, Zoology, Environmental Science and Plant Science) or Physical Sciences (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry)
M.Phil Computer Science (1 year)
Eligibility: M.Sc/MCA/M.Tech (Computer Science/Information Technology/Electronics/Computational Science/Geo-informatics) having minimum of three papers in Computer Science/Information Technology in the qualifying examination
Final year students can also apply
Scholarships: For M.Sc/M.Phil courses, Govt scholarships under SPEED-IT (Rs 8000/- per month) will be awarded to all students having minimum of 65% (7.0 CGPA) in the qualifying examination
Govt scholarships available for SC/ST students
Entrance Test: The final selection shall be based on the candidate’s performance in the online objective type entrance test/GATE score
An online test will be held on 02nd June, 2013
The test will be of one hour duration consisting of 60 objective type questions
Candidates possessing valid GATE score are exempt from entrance test
Applicants for M.Phil with NET are also exempt from appearing the entrance test
However, all the candidates have to apply on line and pay the application fee and appear for the interview
Test Centres: Bhubaneswar, Calicut, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Manipur, Patna, Srinagar, Trivandrum
How to apply: Candidates have to apply on-line for the courses using the website www.iiitmk.ac.in
A printout of on-line application along with application fee (demand draft) and passport size photos should reach the Institute on or before 31st May, 2013
Application fee general candidates Rs 250/-, SC/ST candidates Rs 100/-
